What Documents Do You Need to File Your Taxes in West Palm Beach?

Tax season moves fast, and most delays have the same cause: a missing document. Gathering your paperwork before your appointment saves you a second trip, speeds up your refund, and helps your preparer find every deduction you qualify for. Use this checklist from Towny Tax Multiservices LLC in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Personal identification

  • A valid photo ID (driver’s license or passport).
  • Social Security cards or ITIN letters for you, your spouse and your dependents.
  • Your bank account and routing numbers if you want your refund by direct deposit.

Income documents

  • W-2 forms from every employer you worked for during the year.
  • 1099-NEC if you did contract or freelance work.

  • Records of any other income, such as rental income or unemployment (1099-G).

Deductions and credits

  • 1098 form if you pay mortgage interest.
  • Receipts and records of business expenses if you are self-employed.

  • Health coverage forms (such as 1095-A) if you bought insurance through the Marketplace.

Helpful extras
